After the highly acclaimed 《It's Hard to Love When You're Menopausal》 two years ago, Shrimpy Yeung See Man is back with a brand new show 《It's Hard to Love When Your Phone is Low on Battery?!》, coming to the Shouson Theatre in Wan Chai this July. With her signature Hong Kong-style humor, Shrimpy is going to expose the absurd daily life of men and women in love in the tech age!
In this day and age when everyone is glued to their phones, is love just about 'read but not replied' and 'seen'? Or is it about constantly checking your partner's social media? Shrimpy continues to use the solo show format to explore how technology has changed the way men and women interact from a female perspective, revealing how people are emotionally lost in the digital world. Is it really that 'you have to turn off your phone to restart your heart'?
Shrimpy's show two years ago, 《It's Hard to Love When You're Menopausal》, spoke frankly about what women really think, striking a chord with audiences and playing to full houses. This time, 《It's Hard to Love When Your Phone is Low on Battery?!》 continues the 'solo female chatterbox' style with a Hong Kong-style absurd plot that presents the difficulties of modern love in a crazy yet true-to-life way. Shrimpy will once again use her unique sense of humor to take the audience on a two-hour 'romantic date'. This performance is written and performed by Shrimpy herself, directed by Hoi Chiu, with Cheung Kam Ching as artistic consultant, So Chi Ching as producer, and Little Golden Deer Entertainment as organizer. The strong team guarantees a high-quality production that will bring audiences a delightful theatrical experience.
